Q: Where are the Thassos & Carrara in the Nova Lynx Hexagon tile sourced?
A: China. -
Q: can it be used on shower floor without slipping easily?
A: This tile can be used on a shower floor. The grout lines around the mosaic pieces add slip resistance. However, because this tile is marble, you would want to seal this tile on the shower floor and reseal periodically as necessary. -
Q: What color grout do you recommend with the Nova Lynx?
A: We suggest the Laticrete Permacolor Bright White GroutA: We used white and are very happy with the results. -
Q: I have marble in my entryway now and it is badly stained. Will this stain over time too?
A: After the stone is installed, and grouted, seal the stone with an appropriate high quality breathable stone sealer, to minimize water absorption, efflorescence, and potential staining. We recommend our polished sealer for polished stone. If necessary, a color enhancer may be applied to bring out the true color of the stone at any time after grouting. Follow sealer manufacturer's installation instructions. Reseal tile when the stone gets darker or as needed.A: have it in my bathroom, it is gorgeous, it has not stained and has been there for 2 years. However, marble is the most finicky of all stones, it is softer than others and easily stains and scratchesA: Short answer- yes. But, it depends where you put it and how you care for it. Marble is very porous so you have to seal it at least once a year. In a shower or high traffic area, twice or more per year. You should always clean spills up quickly. In an entryway where wet shoes and dirt may be sitting on your marble, it is more likely to stain than a bathroom or kitchen. Marble will always be a little higher maintenance though than a man made alternative and it is unlikely that it will stay super pristine and new looking forever. -
Q: How many hexagons are included in one piece of tile?
A: 4 Hexagons per sheet -
Q: Can this be used for a kitchen backsplash?
A: This material is suitable for backsplash installation.A: Sure it can! I would do a big square of it behind your stove surrounded by subway tile for behind your counters. I have this Hex in my bathroom floor: it is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! -
Q: Can this be used for bathroom flooring?
A: This material has the following suitable installation areas; Backsplash, Floor Tile, Kitchen Floor, Kitchen Wall, Wall Tile, Bathroom Floor, Bathroom Wall, Shower Wall, Shower Floor, Outdoor Wall, Commercial FloorA: Yes, and it looks fantastic.A: Omg I used it in my bathroom and it is absolutely Gorgeous!!!!!! And tilebar charged me less than half what my local store wanted for it!!!! And tilebar is an awesome company: the best customer service ever: I used them for my entire house project! Do not hesitate to use them!!!! I am Sooo happy!
