Q: are the square tiles individual, or do they come "in racks" if so, how many racks per box exactly?
A: Individual
They are beautiful!A: They are packaged in a box by the piece, they are not sold on the netting so these are all ones that you can create your own layout to offer a great variety in the texture of the products.A: The tiles are individual- love the look and Tilebar NYC!!!!A: The tiles are individual. A: Yes. 1/8” would be our suggestion. -
Q: What size grout is best with this tile ?

Q: It says that it comes with two different shades in a box. Should I be able to tell the difference? How are they organized in the box?
A: The matte and gloss finishes are mixed in the box, maybe 1/3 matte, 2/3 gloss. The difference between the two is subtle. I separated them and mixed them randomly when setting. It looks beautiful. I get lots of compliments on this tile.A: The tiles are mixed in the box. Some have a satin finish and others more of a gloss finish. When my husband installed the tiles, I organized them first by finish in two stacks and he set them in a randomly which achieves the beautiful effect.A: If you order this tile it will be because you like the variation.....I actually mixed 3 different colors to get a more varied look. I love it so much.A: Some of the tiles are lighter than others and my recollection is that they came randomly sorted in the box. The variation in shades is one of the things I like best about this tile. -
Q: Are these tiles safe for a shower wall?
A: I used them for a kitchen backsplash but yes, they can be used for a shower wall. -

Q: I would love to use the Gin 4x4 on my bath tile wall. Does cleaning break down the sheen, also want to use for a kitchen backsplash.?
A: My husband installed the tile as our kitchen backsplash and cleaning the tile does not ruin the sheen. Use white vinegar.A: I mixed 3 different shades on my kitchen backsplash and am pretty pleased with it it cleans just fine in the kitchen- don’t know about the bathroom but I did consider it there also.A: I have this tile on a kitchen backsplash. The sheen does not break down with cleaning.A: I have these tiles on my fireplace and I haven't noticed any less sheen from two years of cleaning with ordinary household cleaners.A: I have Fog 4x4 in my kitchen backsplash. It’s really beautiful and easy to clean. I use Method cleaner and it has not change the sheen of the tile. Hope this helps! -
Q: I see fog and gin in the Mntauk tile which on has more of a pearl color the pictures look much the same?
A: Fog is a light gray. I would imagine gin has more of a pearl color.A: I put the fog color on my master bathroom walls and the gin color in the guest bathroom. The fog color is much more grey/blue (hint of purple) and the gin color is much whiter with a beautiful pearlescent sheen to it. I love them both. I am traveling and don't have access to my photos right now--or I would attach them.A: All of tiles are very iridescent, like oyster shells. The Montauk fog has an overall pink-gray hue. The direction of light that is coming into your home, north, south, east or west may affect the color as well.A: I have just the Fog color. It is gray with blue-ish undertones. Some of the tiles are a lighter shade of gray, but I wouldn't say any of them are a pearl color.A: Gin is more pearl colored, fog is light gray. But they both have a beautiful satiny, pearl finish. They are both so pretty. -
