Because it complements the Leathered Crema Delicatus Granite countertops in our (involuntarily) remodeled kitchen - kinda like topping off a flavorful Cappuccino with a nice foam head :)

It will go well with our granite kitchen countertops.

The surface is glossy and a little uneven, reflects the light wonderfully. Feels warm, rustic, and clean

What color of grout is recommended for the vanilla color?
Hope S. on Feb 4, 2016
Do you have any examples of this tile in herringbone?
Hope S. on Feb 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, yes we do! Please email so I can send you more information.
I have a tiny area to do in an old (1870) farmhouse kitchen .( 4'x6"). Wonder if the deco vanilla mixed randomly with the 3x6 vanilla will make it more modern than I want given the character of the house. Any examples of it done?
Janet F on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We just installed this tile in our kitchen remodel. Love it! The longer length extends the field of vision and makes our kitchen look bright and airy. Love the glossy reflection off the slightly uneven surface (which is why we chose this tile). We have it paired with a band of mosaic tile and it blends really well with other tile sizes due to its low profile nature.
Can the bostik diamond dimensions grout be used with this tile or would it pick up the color of the non-glazed edges of the tile too much? I want to use this tile with a glass mosaic accent band.

The Lancaster Vanilla in the 3x6 looks much more white than the 3x12 (which looks more ivory) on the computer. Are they actually the same color?
A shopper on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are the same color.
I have vanilla cabinet, light grey countertop, would this tile work?
Nicole V on Aug 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have vanilla counter tops and vanilla cabinets The. tile is a warm vanilla color (not so good at descriptions ) but it is not brownish more towards yellowish side of vanilla You might like to try a sample first if in doubt it is beautiful and the texture adds a little more interest than a plain subway tile. The edges look sort of rustic so rustic and modern at the same time I am going to caulk with matching grout so it looks clean hope this helps
Are there bullnose pieces for this tile? If not, how do you tile a shower curb using this tile?
Sylvia B on Nov 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, unfortunately we don't have bullnose pieces for this tile. Is your shower curb curved or flat? If it's curved then this tile would not be suitable unless you alter the curb. If it's a flat edge, then we do have matching pencil liners for you to finish off the tile. If you need further help with this please email so I can help you out.
What size tile spacers are recommended? The installation instruction say use thinset for glass this true or a typo? Thank you
A shopper on Feb 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: To avoid affecting the color of the tile, White modified thin-set such as Bostik Glass Mate is highly recommended

Tile must be installed over a suitable substrate to insure a proper installation. Tile should be installed over a clean, sound, and flat surface, free of contaminates including curing compounds. Substrate should be free of cracks. If used in a wet area you must waterproof. See manufacturer's recommendation on a membrane for crack and water protection that is compatible with the setting material you are using. Expansion joints should be installed at all changes in plane in the tile work and where tile abuts restraining surfaces, therefore silicone caulking sealant must be installed in all corner joints in place of grout.

  • We always recommend dry-fitting your pattern first to think about your cuts in advance and to make sure you like the pattern. This will also help you choose which pieces go where, which is especially helpful with tiles that have a lot of variation.
  • To avoid affecting the color of the tile, white thinset such as Bostik PM is highly is recommended for all installations. For faster installation, use a rapid curing thinset such as Bostik Single-Flex Fast Set.
  • Apply as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
  • Grout joint should be a minimum of 1/16” and not butt set.
  • The optimal trowel size is a 9" Trowel - 1/8" square notch.

  • This tile is made by hand and is high fired. This causes a considerable amount of variation in size and thickness.  With handmade tile we always recommend larger grout joints to account for these irregularities.
  • Grout joints should be packed full and free of voids and pits.
  • Clean excess grout as the work progresses before it has hardened completely.
  • Acids should never be used for cleaning grout haze.
  • Use a damp sponge for the final cleaning and to smooth out the grout joints.
  • Both Sanded and Non-Sanded grouts are acceptable for use. We recommend Sanded grout for joints larger than 1/8 inch and Non-Sanded for 1/8th inches or less.
  • It is recommended to use grout release, then grout the tile, then use a sealant to the tile such as MP90
  • Highly recommended to purchase the Polished Porcelain Maintenance Kit.

The recommended cutting method is to use a wet saw with a diamond blade. Edges can be sanded smooth after cutting.
