Q: I'm considering this tile for a kitchen backsplash but I don't see a finished trim piece. What would you recommend for a finished top on the backsplash that doesn't run into the cabinets?
A: I used white trim and it is my kitchen backsplash - I have white walls and it blends perfectlyA: I used white trim and the tiles are my kitchen backsplash - my walls are white and it looks greatA: I would recommend a metal edging. Tile bar offers this 8’ edging in many metallic finishes. If your cabinetry hardware is going to be gold you can go with the gold edging to tile the finishes together. Hope this helps! Q: What can you use for edge pieces?
A: This tile does have a corresponding bullnose piece (see attached item). You can also browse our full selection of trim pieces here: https://tilebar.com/collection/trim-pieces.htmlA: I use Schluter Metal strips (called jolly’s)... they come in a ton of colors. You should be able to match something up to this tile, but if I recall I used stainless steel strip. It provides a nice, neat edge. Another thing I have done when The metal strips were a look that I was not wanting, is this: my painter painted the edges of all of the tile as closely as possible to the tile color. Looked fine. But in a wet situation, such as a bathtub or shower, the metal strips are the way to go.A: There are round edge pieces that match seamlessly -
Q: Is this tile flat or is there some dimension to each tile...so it appears to be handmade maybe?
A: It does have a wave to the surface and also the sides like a handmade tile. They say made in Spain on the bottom.A: Yes there are variations in the surface that make it look more handmade. They are not all exactly the same surface, but they are all the same size.A: It's not flat. It has a waviness to it that gives it a handmade look. We love it!A: Yes, there is a bit of dimension to it to appear handmade. Edges are not exactly straight and neither is the surface (but not substantially so).A: YES This tile looks like it was hand flattened. It catches the under-counter light in my kitchen and reflects the look of old tile. I chose it because it was a great compromise between white/ivory and crayola gray. It is a very soft gray. I LOVE IT.A: The tile is not flat- it has a lot of dimensional variation. I would not got as far as yo say it appears handmade. It is definitely unique and far from one dimensional, but the cut of tile adds a very modern feel. Hope this helps. I used on my shower walls. If it would be helpful I can send along a picture.A: There is dimension. The do not lay perfectly flat to the wall.A: This is a very pretty tile, with some slight dimension. A great look!
We remodeled our bathroom and used the black tiles in the picture. The shower was a show stopper. I designed the bathroom makeover, withe the tiles placed vertically, and lined up grid-style with white grout. My contractor tried to talk me out of it, but he was so impressed he repeated the style for other customers who loved it and used the same tiles.
We later remodeled a second bathroom and used the same tiles, this time in white. It also turned out looking extremely nice. -

Pencil liner
Looks great and matches the corresponding subway tile. One thing to note is that the pencil liner is unfinished on the edges (like the subway tile). So for a finished edge, recommend chair rail or bullnose tile.

Beautiful handmade tile
The tile looks great and is just what we hoped for. My only reason for not giving a 5 star is that the glue protecting each tile was difficult to remove and I've purchased previous tiles from Lowe's that came right off so I know it's possible.

Subtle, yet powerful tile.
Very beautiful with subtle movement that looks luxurious. The tile is thick and if you're worried about cracking, you shouldn't. My contractor didn't like working with it at first and recommended getting tile with less variation in the tile edging. But after seeing a whole shower wall with it? well he was impressed as well.
