Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.

Q: What is the maintenance of the tile?
A: I had the tile installed in my kitchen (backsplash) four years ago. It looks as beautiful now as it did then. Other than wiping it down when I clean the kitchen, I have done no maintenance on it.A: It is marble so it needs to be sealed regulary.A: This beautiful mosaic marble tile is very low maintenance. I used this on a fireplaceA: We used the material for a client as a kitchen backsplash. We have used marble materials for fireplace surrounds for other clients. Check the manufacturer's information for the fireplace unit to confirm that detail. I am very pleased with the classic statement this tiles gives to the room. As far as it being used on a fireplace would depend on your style of decorating. Q: is there a plain tile that can work alongside this if I just want this behind my stove?

Q: The page recommends a white non-sanded grout, but it doesn't look as though you need grout at all with this tile. Do you need grout?
A: While the joints on the tile are fairly tight in my opinion you still should use grout to fill in the joints.A: We used grout less for grout lines which are minimal because the waterjet cuts are tight, but more to fill in the very fine lines as shown in the product photo. Also some of the very tips of the cuts are slightly chipped and with the grout they disappear.A: Yes, you definitely need to grout it. I love this tile, it is gorgeous as a backsplash in my kitchen!A: As you mend the sheets together, there will be fine lines. Yes, I would recommend grout - but you won't need much. That step will make the wow become wowza!! -
Q: Does every sheet have a rusty or yellow spot on the blue?
A: No very few if any of them had the rusty or yellow spot on the blue. I don't remember any of them having it and it definitely wasn't something the customer mentioned after we had the backsplash installed.A: Karen - we just finished up a kitchen backsplash with this product. It turned out stunning! We didn't sort out or order any additional sheets. There are slight color imperfections in the material because of the natural beauty of marble. -
