Q: Do you have to use grout?
A: YesA: Yes. I used Dove Grey GroutA: Yes with a minimum of 1/16 grout lines. No tile is perfectly shaped. Using 1/16 grout lines in the same spot on every tile will help you achieve a very nice finish. -
Q: Grout color?
A: We suggest the Laticrete Permacolor Smoke Gray Grout for a seamless look. -
Q: Does this tile come in smaller dimensions?
A: This material does not come in additional size formats. -
Q: What do I do with the edge of this tile at the end of my cabinets? I see that bullnose is only available along the 12" side, I would want it on the 3" side, wouldn't I?
A: We used the 12” side.A: I tried posting a pic of what we did, but we did the 12” bullnose and it looks great. Just cut it to fit.A: If you use bullnose, it would be installed perpendicular to the tile, which in your case would be vertical. Your other option would be to use a metal strip which is hardly visible on each end. They come in different colors, and are sold at tile stores.A: Another option would be to install metal schleuter st the ends. Or turn the bullnose vertically and frame the subwY. I just wanted a cleaner continuous lookA: Our installer just tapered a gout line on the exposed edges. It gives it a rustic look. And is hardly noticeableA: Have you considered using a Schluter metal edge? They're attractive and don't stand out. -
Q: Can this tile be installed ‘stacked’ rather than ‘grouted’? Wanting to use it from floor up to mid-wall/just under mirror in small bathroom (area not needing to be waterproof/sealed)
A: This tile can definitely be installed in a stacked pattern (straight rows instead of the staggered brick pattern). This tile does need to be grouted. This tile is made by hand and is high fired. This causes a considerable amount of variation in size and thickness. With handmade tile we always recommend larger grout joints to account for these irregularities. -

These Bullnose tiles went extremely well with the main 8"x8" tile that was the main area of our Bay Window seat. The Castle Sandstorm color matched the edges of the other tile. Unfortunately 3 of the original order of 13 bullnose tiles arrived cracked, even though the packing was excellent. A call and email to Tilebar solved the problem as 3 more bullnose tiles arrived in 3 days. When I need any tile in the future, Tilebar will be the first place I look. Great product and Super Service!

Hazy Castle Tile with Smoke Gray Grout
Beautiful tile! Came out great with the right mix of modern and rustic. Used the chair rail tile for a border and it really looks awesome since we decided not to go all the way to the ceiling. Everything came well packaged and NO broken tiles at all! The calculations of how much was needed was spot on and the Smoke Gray grout recommended was the perfect complement to the tile. Overall I couldn't be more pleased! I would definitely recommend the product and Tile Bar!
