CHARRED WOOD MEETS CARVED STONE
The Bansu collection is inspired by Shou Sugi Ban, the Japanese technique of preserving wood by charring its surface, creating beautiful texture and impressive durability. Instead of wooden planks, Bansu uses genuine marble slabs that are heavily carved. The resulting look is full of depth and organic movement—perfect for an understated take on the statement wall.
INTRICATE PROCESS, STUNNING DETAIL
Each marble piece undergoes an intricate carving process to achieve its unique look. A special carving machine is used to create the overall pattern first, followed by more intricate carvings for finer detail. Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.
