With the new year arriving, our team took a moment to gather the major tile trends in store for the tile world in 2019. Across the board, we found that there will be two contrasting movements occurring: big, modern, dramatic styles alongside traditional, handmade, classic styles. This is exciting for our company, since we have a ton of new collections that match the biggest trend sightings. So, read on to see what’s coming!
BOLD COLORS
In 2019, one tile trend will be a movement from cold, modern to bold, strong color choices. This will be seen with tiles in hues of burgundy, coral, salmon, and emerald green.

DRAMATIC STONES
While Calacatta will always be a classic, this year be on the lookout for dramatic stone look tiles. Think marble tile with colorful veining or gorgeous patterns.

OLD WORLD METHODS MEET MODERN DESIGN
Mixing and matching will be a hot tile trend this year. There is going to be a rise in placing old-world looks with modern field tiles. The result will be an eye-catching, one-of-a-kind design. We’ll also notice on the same front, a move towards handmade. While elaborate, statement tile is fun, nothing beats the breath-taking simplicity associated with hand-painted or handmade pieces.

LARGER IS BETTER
Small format tiles will still have a place, of course, but we’re going to see the expansion of large format tiles in 2019. 48×48, 30×60, and 24×48 slabs will be growing in popularity. Large formats offer a great way to bring a dramatic statement to any space as a feature wall or entry way.
Here’s the latest in large format:
