are these 12" x 12" sheets?????
A shopper on Apr 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The sheets are 12 inches high but the width is staggered so that they nest. If you are figuring total area it is one square foot. A tip on ending the tile where the end is exposed is to cut the tile, then cut it off the sheet and reverse it to not leave a cut end exposed.
Are these tiles magnetic?
Jenn D on Apr 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No these tiles are not magnetic

What type of wet saw blade is needed to cut this tile?
Dan F on Jul 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I used a standard diamond blade for my wet saw, it worked fine.
Installation

SUBSTRATE

Tile must be installed over a suitable substrate to insure a proper installation. Tile should be installed over a clean, sound, and flat surface, free of contaminates including curing compounds. Substrate should be free of cracks. If used in a wet area you must waterproof. See manufacturer’s recommendation on a membrane for crack and water protection that is compatible with the setting material you are using. Expansion joints should be installed at all “changes in plane” in the tile work and where tile abuts restraining surfaces, therefore silicone caulking sealant must be installed in all corner joints in place of grout.

CUTTING

The recommended cutting method is to use a wet saw with a diamond blade that is specifically for cutting metal. Edges can be sanded smooth after cutting.

INSTALLATION

  • To avoid affecting the color of the tile, White modified thin-set such as Bostik Glass Mate is highly is recommended for all installations.
  • Apply as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
  • Grout joint should be a minimum of 1/16” and not butt set.
  • The trowel size you can use is a 9" Trowel - 1/16" square notch.

NO GROUTING IS REQUIRED

  • You would need to waterdown the thin set a bit more and use the excess thinset as a grout line.
  • It is highly recommended that you purchase the Glass & Metal Maintenance Kit

SEALING

After the tile is installed, seal the tile with an appropriate solvent based sealer, to preserve the finish, minimize oxidization, and prevent the formation of rust. Follow sealer manufacturer’s installation instructions. Reseal the tile as needed.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Stainless Steel

Onlly use a stainless steel cleaner. Apply the cleaner with a shammy or microfiber cloth. Do not use towels or rags due to their ability to scratch stainless steel.

Other Metal tiles

Metal tiles can be easily cleaned with warm water and dishwashing soap. Use a shammy or microfiber cloth to clean the tile, then rinse off the remaining soap.
