Shaken or Stirred?

During World War II, reduction of consumption activists argued that soldiers should not be permitted to drink alcohol beverages. However, General George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, insisted that such prohibition would be 'harmful to the men in the service."

I received a sample and decided to use it as a border in one of the bathrooms

After receiving my 5 samples, I decided to purchase the beautiful Natural White 3x6 tiles. It is not a clear white but has a subtle aqua hint to it. Reminiscent of sea glass. I will be using it my kitchen as backsplash to coordinate with my Cambria quartz counters. Very excited to see how it looks!

Purchased several samples and loved this one. It's white but a shade off that gives it character and will look amazing in our kitchen with white cabinets and black granite.

Beautiful subtle green/blue tint, perfect for our beach house shower/bath. Our bathroom is small, so this is nice and light.

I ordered sample tiles. It's really tough to find a "natural" glass colored tile that isn't too green. We're using it for a kitchen backsplash. Loved the sample, so I'm hoping that the backsplash will come out great.

This tile is beautiful! Just the perfect seaglass color that I was looking for. Not too white, too green, or too blue...just somewhere in the middle. Love it!

We actually selected the 4x12 Loft Natural White, but it was sold out. This 3x6 was our second choice. This tile has a slight greenbluegrayish hue that sets it off as a unique white tile. Looks fantastic as our new backsplash under the dimmable strip LED lights (under cabinets).

I'm planning to do a shower surround in this tile (Loft Natural White Polished 3x6). Does it come in a bullnose edge to give a finished look?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We installed these tiles for our kitchen backsplash. There was no need for a bullnose edge for us. But have you considered using a Schluter edge for your shower? Comes in a variety of metal finishes. We used it around our shower and it was much more affordable than bullnose tiles and in our opinion looks cleaner and more modern. Good luck on your project! We love our tiles and have received several compliments. I'll try to submit a photo soon.
Installation
Substrate: Tile must be installed over a suitable substrate to insure a proper installation. Glass tile should be installed over a clean, sound, and flat surface, free of contaminates including curing compounds. Substrate should be free of cracks. If used in a wet area you must waterproof. See manufacturer’s recommendation on a membrane for crack and water protection that is compatible with the setting material you are using. Glass is reflective therefore any inconsistencies in the substrate will result in a poor installation. For pools and fountains we recommend installing a mortar bed according to TCA P601-98. EXPANSION AND CONTROL JOINTS PER TCA EJ171-05 Expansion joints should be installed at all “changes in plane” in the tile work and where tile abuts restraining surfaces, therefore silicone caulking sealant must be installed in all corner joints in place of grout. Installation: To avoid affecting the color of glass tile, White modified thin-set such as Bostik Glass Mate is highly is recommended for all installations. A second option is regular tile wall glue. Grout joint should be a minimum of 1/16” and not butt set. Apply thin-set using a trowel as recommended by the manufacturer. Apply as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes. Once set in place gently tap using a grout float to insure full bedding and a true surface. Grouting: Grout joints should be packed full and free of voids and pits. Clean excess grout as the work progresses before it has hardens completely. Acids should never be used for cleaning grout haze. Use a damp sponge for the final cleaning and to smooth out the grout joints. When grout is completely cured a grout sealer should be applied as recommended by manufacturer. It is recommended to use Non-Sanded Grout. Cutting: Tile can be cut using a wet saw with a diamond “cut-off” blade. Edges can be sanded smooth after cutting.
