Shaken or Stirred?

During World War II, reduction of consumption activists argued that soldiers should not be permitted to drink alcohol beverages. However, General George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, insisted that such prohibition would be 'harmful to the men in the service."

Are there special installation instructions for this set that I can provide to my contractor? Cuts, mortar mix, grout color, etc?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Mine is used under the hood as well. Start from the center and work out b/c you will likely have to cut the 12" sheet somewhere. I used Thassos pencil trim around this mosaic and white grout. Grout lines are not visible.
Is this durable enough for a bathroom floor?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this tile is suitable for floor or wall applications. You can use it all over the floor or, depending the size of the area, you can introduce a border to frame this pattern.

Can this tile be used for a shower floor?
Rick B on Nov 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We really should pursue asking the specific manufacturer for a definitive answer. However, in my opinion, I would not use it on the floor for a couple reasons. The marble is polished, therefore would be considered by most professionals as UNSAFE. Also, the inlayed mother of pearl is a veneer and could chip way with a lot of traffic and shoes with heels or dirt and small rocks stuck in the tread. I also see that in the image on the website it does show an image of it being on the floor with "shoes" staged for the photoshoot, although they are "slippers". Keep safety in mind first and ask the manufacturer for what the industry agencies have rated it for use.

I'm going to be using this for a shower wall and feature wall. My client liked the idea of having it on the shower floor. Can you suggest something different OR can it be honed?
Amanda C on Jan 25, 2017
You are going to love this product. I just used it for a shower wall in a secondary bathroom, and the client was so thrilled with it that she wished we had used it in more of the seven bathrooms in her home! We thought about putting it on the floor as well, but she was a little concerned about it being slippery. So we compromised and used a honed thassos mosaic from WZ called Jet Set that mirrored the shape. The Highlands Marakesh with shell is stunning. Your client will be delighted. Good luck.
