A modern take on a traditional basket weave motif.Heather H on Sep 2, 2016How does this particular backsplash need to be cleaned?BEST ANSWER: It would depend on where it is installed. Mine is used as a backsplash in the kitchen, but around high clean areas like the stove, I used Stainless Steel tiles. I filled in some of the minor gaps with an appropriate grout then sealed it. It is marble, and it is textured, so when needed, I lay a old folded towel where I will be cleaning, I mix some dish soap up in a bucket with some water, and I use a brush like the ones that come as a set with a dust pan to apply the mix, this setup provides has a little scrubbing power to get into the crevices without harming the tile. I then wipe with a damp sponge and dry. If you have installed it in other areas that get very dirty. I suggest that you experiment with more powerful cleaners on some of the leftover tile that you should have leftover to see if the cleanser works, but does not harm the tile. I am sure that someone makes special cleansers made for marble, but I have not had the need to find them as of yet.Would you finish the edges with anything or is it fine to leave as is?BEST ANSWER: Please note that this is real marble, and is subject to breakage very easily. My project required exposed edges at the end of the run, plus around a window. I used a Dremel tool with a diamond blade for precise cuts. Once you get it to that state, perhaps you could try to polish it to blend better, but I would suggest practicing on scraps before trying it on your real work. It may not be worth it. For the record, I left mine natural. What color is it please? it looks dark beige or mocha. Im looking for something with ivory tones or a bit darker. Please any input is gratly appreciated.BEST ANSWER: It is definitely ivory tones with a little bit of darker veining spots. But totally is much more ivory/light beige. Order a sample! It's beautiful. If something is out of stock does it mean it's discontinued?BEST ANSWER: No, not necessarily. If you would like to check on the stock of an item, simply call customer service. A representative would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

- For the adhesive you can use any type of mastic.
- This tile does not require grout. You would have to water down the thin-set a little bit and the excess thin-set will act as the grout line.
- Apply thin-set using a trowel as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Apply as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
The recommended cutting method is to use a wet saw with a diamond blade that is specifically for cutting glass. Edges can be sanded smooth after cutting.
